Live-Cinema
L’oeil et l’oreille – Nigji Sanges
Thursday 2 June at 8 pm – CAPE Ettelbrück
June starts with a real show for the senses: United Instruments of Lucilin invites you to discover a new live-cinema at CAPE!
In collaboration with the composer Nigji Sanges, the ensemble will accompany Jean Epstein’s silent film Finis Terrae (1929, 82 min). The film documents the life of four fishermen who hunt down the only plant resource, seaweed, in the Ouessant archipelago. Discover how the music composed by the Italian-Luxembourgish Nigji Sanges accompanies the completely isolated men in summer.
The fusion of film experience and concert sensation promises an extraordinary evening!

United Instruments of Lucilin invites the public to the last concert of the series « Lucilin au Carré ». For this exceptional occasion, the ensemble quadruples its number of guests! On 10 June, four talents will work together to offer a unique and transdisciplinary concert:
With the pantomime, actress and founder of the NiMú theatre Irene Fast Fita, the director and faithful collaborator of the ensemble Lionel Ménard, the Luxembourgish euphonium soloist Philippe Schwartz and the British composer and professor at the University of Salford Alan Williams, the multidisciplinary nature of the concert will be obvious to the eye… and to the ears!

Concert
Kein Licht – Philippe Manoury
24, 25 and 26 June – Holland Festival (NL)
What if one day the light leaves us?
This scenario is not excluded, if we consider the need and production of energy by mankind and its disastrous consequences for the earth. In this context, a nuclear catastrophe is not a remote idea and forms the very starting point of Kein Licht.
Based on a text by Nobel Prize winner Elfriede Jelinek, director Nicolas Stemann and composer Philippe Manoury on the one hand mock human incapacity and on the other hand challenge the controllability of technology. The play with the limits of text, music, theatre and technology results in a « thinkspiel », a game of thought, aimed at making people think about the issues of the day.
After a 20-date European tour in 2017, Kein Licht can be seen at the Holland Festival in Amsterdam on Friday 24 June and Saturday 25 June at 8.30 pm and Sunday 26 June at 1.30 pm!
