Organique (2022) for string trio – 10’ World Premiere
Commissioned by United Instruments of Lucilin for the project 33,7 – Esch2022 European Capital of Culture, with the support of the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation
Organique is a piece for string trio inspired by the biological diversity of the organic world. The string trio acts as a junction of different kinds of sounds produced by the instruments themselves, a radio and 3 tuning forks. These ones blend
in a single organism which symbolically evokes the possible harmonisation between nature and the artificial world.

Un songe austral (2021-2022) for string quartet – 25’ World Premiere
Un songe austral, for string quartet, was commissioned by United Instruments of Lucilin with the support of the Sacem Luxembourg.
The first two parts were premiered in Bergen, Norway during the Avgarde Festival in 2021. “The topic of the piece and the source of inspiration is an austral lake lying under 800 meter of ice. Ideally, the trip and the sensations that I propose in my piece would need to be supported by a choreography, a visual dimension to give the audience the choice to listen, to watch
or both. If the piece is performed without, then I leave the dancer in your imagination, with his art, on that lake under the ice”.

Looking into the shining light makes one blind, in the same way as the high frequencies are deafening; after dwelling in high altitude, the illuminated mind is left in a heightened silence, self-reflecting on the previous experience of fullness (density?) The main inspiration and constitutive part of the piece is the field recording of the night birds and frogs I made on the south coast of Costa Rica [in a timeless space saturated with brightness]
