Your Face is a Book

Once again, we transcend the boundaries of the classical repertoire, exploring the possible symbioses between music and new technologies.
Composer Roby Steinmetzer will present his creation Your Face is a Book: thanks to an ingenious algorithm, the score played by the musicians will evolve “live” according to the emotions and reactions – conscious or unconscious – of an audience filmed throughout.
Finally, the “SmartFaust” technology developed by GRAME will enable the Lucilin ensemble to be integrated… from the comfort of your seat! Using an application that can be downloaded on site, the cell phone will be transformed, for the duration of the evening, into an instrument that will lend a hand to the seasoned artists on stage. The result? An original work of art, a source of real symbiosis between stage and hall, between electronic and acoustic sounds.
