Luxembourg Composition Academy – Closing Concert

One week to write, experiment, exchange ideas and bring new works to life.

Each year, the Luxembourg Composition Academy brings together eight emerging composers from different backgrounds for a week entirely dedicated to contemporary creation.

Guided by two renowned composers and the musicians of United Instruments of Lucilin, each participant develops a new piece through individual sessions, lectures, workshops and dedicated working sessions with the ensemble.

Score by score, ideas take shape, are tested with the performers and evolve through the experience of bringing them to the stage.

The culmination of this week of creation: eight new works are presented to the public by United Instruments of Lucilin at the Academy’s closing concert at the Philharmonie Luxembourg, as part of the rainy days festival.
