Luxembourg Composition Academy 2017

Since 2015, Lucilin has presented, together with neimënster, a composition masterclass in Luxembourg, inviting eight young composers from all over the world who has been selected among about fifty applications, to come during one week in Luxembourg and to work on a new piece, composed for the occasion, led by two renowned composers and by musicians of United Instruments of Lucilin.

For its 2017 edition, the former “Composition Summer School” becomes the “Luxembourg Composition Academy”, and is organized with the rainy days festival, which offers the participants to attend all the concerts of the festival.
The final concert of the academy, which will present the participants’ new pieces, will also be part of the program of the festival.
The Luxembourg Composition Academy is held this year from November 13 to 18, and the invited composers are Chaya Czernowin (Harvard University) and Mauro Lanza (Universität der Künste Berlin).
