Lucilin in the city #4 – Vinyl Release
On the occasion of the release of the double vinyl of CTRL Variations on April 28, United Instruments of Lucilin proposes a unique Lucilin in the City evening featuring Luxembourg composer and percussionist Pascal Schumacher at the Théâtre National du Luxembourg.
On the program of this portrait concert: a presentation of the vinyl and musical excerpts of CTRL Variations of course – this project commissioned by Lucilin and premiered at the Philharmonie in 2009 with music by Pascal Schumacher on a libretto by Ian Monk and a typography by Michel Welfringer – but also a text reading by the author and poet Ian Monk himself, the piece Music in Similar Motion by Philip Glass, a composer much appreciated by Pascal Schumacher, as well as the world premiere of a new piece composed for Lucilin.
With Lucilin in the City, Lucilin proposes a monthly programme curated by a member closed to the ensemble, thus highlighting the musical personalities that make up Lucilin and, more generally, the extent and great diversity of the contemporary music repertoire.
