Lucilin in the city #3 – ALONE TOGETHER
Fascinated by the “extended” aesthetics of the contemporary repertoire, pianist Pascal Meyer has selected solo pieces for his Lucilin colleagues and himself, enriched with electronics, video and gestures. Each of the pieces – written by young composers well known to Pascal – has a particular identity, and creates throughout the score a singular atmosphere each time carried by an instrument and an electronic, video or performative part.
Alone together is thus a concert in five parts. The strength of the solo music and the richness of the use of new media in today’s musical creation are present.
With Lucilin in the City, Lucilin proposes a monthly programme curated by one of the members of the ensemble, thus highlighting the musical personalities that make up Lucilin and, more generally, the extent and great diversity of the contemporary music repertoire.
