Japan Tour !
LUCILIN GOES TO JAPAN FOR 2 CONCERTS AND 1 RECORDING
Nine years after the first meeting with Toshio Hosokawa in Japan, Lucilin was invited for a new tour.
The Raven, monodrama for mezzo-soprano and ensemble (12 musicians) commissioned by Lucilin in 2012, enjoys a great deal of success.
Thanks to this piece, Lucilin was invited in concert halls such as the Bouffes du Nord Theater in Paris. It is now the heart of a new Japan tour, where the Ensemble is invited for two concerts and one recording on the native country of composer Toshio Hosokawa.
This project was born on March 2012 and was first a commission to the famous composer on the theme “The Raven”, the poem by Edgar Allan Poe. The scenic version was produced in collaboration with the Grand Théâtre Luxembourg. The play has since been performed at the Festival Ars Musica in Brussels, at the Muziekgebouw in Amsterdam, at the Grand Théâtre Luxembourg and at the Bouffes du Nord theater in Paris.
The Japan tour will also be the occasion for Lucilin to follow its role of cultural ambassador, by interpreting two works of Luxembourgish composers : Marcel Reuter and Claude Lenners during the first part of the concert.
The recording of the piece and of the Edgar Poe poem, read by soloist, will be released by Naxos in 2015
