Finalkonzert – Bach – gespielt, getanzt, genossen

Dates :
  • Sunday 30 June 2024
Place : Bündheimer Schloss, Bad Harzburg

In this two-part concert, Spanish composer and percussionist David Moliner, who is passionate about Bach, will perform transcriptions of Bach’s cello suites, as well as works by Schubert and Debussy.

Following this, and after several performances in Luxembourg, the new choreographic production by Elisabeth Schilling, ITA INFINITA, will be presented to the public. Interpreted by dancers Piera Jovic, Brian Ca, and Malcolm Sutherland, it is based on Johann Sebastian Bach’s Partita for Violin No. 1 in B minor. This choreographic work for three dancers and a violinist highlights the live performance of violinist Winnie Cheng from the United Instruments of Lucilin ensemble, whose captivating performance irresistibly draws attention. Like an endless thread, the melody weaves the movements of the three dancing bodies.

ITA INFINITA merges dance, music, and design in an interdisciplinary creative process, offering a contemporary perspective on this famous composition. Inspired by the sumptuous costumes and ornaments of the Baroque era, this production creates a unique visual atmosphere, adding an additional aesthetic dimension where dance and music harmoniously intersect.
