Brice Pauset, Wonderful Deluxe

Wonderful Deluxe! Rêves et futilités d’une idole is a new project commissioned to French composer Brice Pauset by United Instruments of Lucilin, in coproduction with the Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg. In this new piece, the main character will be the opposite of “Louise”, the main character in Brice Pauset’s first monodrama, “Théorie des Larmes”, created in concertant version in 2009. Brice Pauset, who wants to draw out a portrait of “human nature” from its extremes, chose as the main character one of those “It-girls”, one of these modern girls who are on every fashion and people magazines. Brice Pauset chose to stage an original narrator to tell her story, namely her dog. Indeed, who is best-suited to try to study this symbol of existential emptiness than her dog who has to follow her day and night? Especially when this dog is an ardent admirer of Spinoza.
