Bach & Present / Ita Infinita
In the frame of the Echter’ Classic Festival, United Instruments of Lucilin and artist-in-residence in Trifolion Elisabeth Schilling offer together an evening where Jean-Sebastian Bach’s music is confronted to a contemporary approach, through music and dance.
United Instruments of Lucilin will open the evening with a Bach & Present concert, where JS Bach’s music (extracts from Goldberg’s Variations) merge with a selection of contemporary music pieces.
Then it continues with the premiere of Ita Infinita, where choreographer Elisabeth Schilling draws on her earlier work and use Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Partita for Violin n°1 in B minor” (BWV 1002) in order to explore how movements and textures, both musical and physical, overlap, merging again and again.
