Aventures, Nouvelles Aventures

In a thunderstorm of sounds and syllables, György Ligeti profoundly rattled the notions of «vocal music» in the 1960s. His Aventures and Nouvelles aventures have since joined the New Music canon. They will be juxtaposed with two recent works with vocal references: in Spleen, Anna Korsun has her players sing as well, and in Down and Arise, Yu Oda enters into a dialogue with John Dowland, master of song.
