Alexander Schubert: Sleep Laboratory

After a world premiere at the AchtBrücken festival in Cologne (Germany) and several performances at the Venice Biennale in 2022, we will bring Alexander Schubert’s “Sleep Laboratory” to Brussels (Belgium) in 2024.
This is a 60-minute immersive and participatory virtual reality piece for musicians, performers and VR/360° video. The audience, equipped with VR headsets, is placed in small compartments on camp beds. Through the VR headset, they will discover a 360° video synchronized with the performance. The piece is a journey into a meditative dream, beginning with a video recording of a natural night.
