Lucilin’s 15th birthday celebrations begin with the performance of a world premier. The ensemble will play a new piece by legendary cellist Pierre Strauch.
Strauch has performed with Ensemble Intercontemporain for 35 years and is a renowned composer. His new suite of pieces is inspired by the names of Lucilin’s members–the first is titled Tomoko and dedicated to our violin player Tomoko Kiba.
The anniversary CD, titled simply 15, features 15 pieces recorded in the past years and illustrating Lucilin’s work and engagement for contemporary music.
Everyone who attends the concert will receive a copy of the CD at the after party at Mudam Café, which takes place in the context of Mudam’s Wednesday nights playlist evenings.
