Quiet Songs

TalentLAB // opera

A bullied teenager feels their voice breaking. Can it ever be fixed?

Quiet Songs is a coming-of-age tale led by the Oscar-nominated actress Ruth Negga. Featuring a string quartet who use swords as musical instruments, it is the first production from Finn Beames & Company, the winner of the 2024 Oxford Samuel Beckett Theatre Trust Award, and was shortlisted for The Stage Awards 2025 in the Innovation category. After an acclaimed run at the Barbican, London, Finn returns to Luxembourg with a daring vision to revive the production in a creative residency with United Instruments of Lucilin and an engagement programme including workshops, open rehearsals and a post-show discussion.
