Musique + Littérature
Second Event of Musique + 2026 series
Saturday 6th June
20:00 Motion Picture Business
A concert built around a new composition by composer Pascal Schumacher, commissioned by the Ministère de la Culture and United Instruments of Lucilin, and combining contemporary chamber music with spoken text by Luxembourgish writer Florence Sunnen, performed by Sarah Lamesch. The programme explores the dreaming mind as an internal cinema—editing, projecting, and reshaping reality and the uneasy return to daylight—through a focused sound world of strings,
winds and percussion.

11:00 Louise Bourgeois, chants et couleurs
Badinage entre Paul Rauchs et United Instruments of Lucilin
Based on C’est le murmure de l’eau qui chante (New York, 2002), this lecture-concert brings together Lucilin’s musicians and Paul Rauchs — psychiatrist and author — drawing inspiration from the world of Louise Bourgeois, imbued with memory and nostalgia.
Marked by homesickness during her early years in New York, the artist developed a body of work permeated by melancholy, in which the fundamental figures of her imagination — the mother, the father, the nursemaid, and the hybrid forms that emerge from them — become recurring motifs. Conceived with Paul Rauchs, this lecture-concert opens up a space where music engages in dialogue with Bourgeois’s imaginative universe, between apparent gentleness and unsettling depth.

Hier. Jetzt.
