Luxembourg Composition Academy – Closing Concert

Eight emerging composers present their new work

The Luxembourg Composition Academy is a one-of-a-kind event in Luxembourg, offering eight young composers the opportunity to create a new piece, guided by the musicians of the ensemble United Instruments of Lucilin and renowned composers.

The programme of the Academy 2025 includes lectures, individual tutoring sessions with the composers Jessie Marino and Steven Daverson, as well as workshops. Each participant is invited to write a piece for United Instruments of Lucilin. These compositions will be developed during the academy, taking place from November 15 to 20.

As part of the rainy days festival and in collaboration with Philharmonie Luxembourg, the closing concert will feature the eight new works by the composers selected to participate in the 2025 Academy:

Nien Chin Chai (MYS, *1999)
